Camp at the High Altitude Classic

Want to camp on the race course? Only with racers, volunteers, and friends of the HAC?

For 2026, the High Altitude Classic has reserved Fir Group Campground in Cloudcroft for race weekend, with a limited number of spots available to racers.

Come up Friday. Camp in the mountains. Race (or Volunteer) Sunday. Head home Monday.

Check-in/Check-out

  • Check-in: Friday, Sept. 18 after 4 PM

  • Check-out: Monday, Sept. 21 by 10 AM

Upper Fir Campground is reserved for racer camping. Lower Fir is reserved for HAC race crew, volunteers, sponsors + guests.

Campground Amenities

  • Restrooms

  • Picnic tables, grills + covered group area

  • No electric hookups or RV water hookups

  • RVs + trailers up to 35 ft.

A few simple rules:

  • Quiet hours after 10 PM, including generators

  • Dogs must be leashed + supervised

  • Respect the campground, forest + your neighbors

  • Don't be a jerk

Camping is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
